Cole Thaler is the Transgender Rights Attorney for Lambda Legal, working on transgender rights litigation, advocacy, and community education. Aside from litigating, he has advocated for improved health care for transgender people, assisted in the amendment of identity documents for transitioning people, pushed for improved treatment of transgender inmates, and continues to present at conferences, schools, and community groups on trans legal issues. He has worked as a family lawyer and a clerk of the Massachusetts Superior Court. He also co-founded the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition, and serves as a member of the Steering Committee of the National Center for Transgender Equality.
