Loren Cameron began his photography career in 1993, in order to document his own process of gender transition. He expanded into documenting the transition processes of other men, and his photographs have now become iconic of the FTM transgender movement. His works have been published in his own books, "Body Alchemy: Transsexual Portraits," and "Man Tool: The Nuts and Bolts of Female-to-Male Surgery," as well as "Transgender Warriors" by Leslie Feinberg, and various other compilations and magazines. He has been honored with two Lambda Literary awards, as well as highest critical acclaim.
