I was born in Cincinnati Ohio in July of 1973 and lived there 8 years with my mother, father, one older brother and an older sister. In 1982 my father's job transferred us to a rural farming community in Lancaster Pennsylvania. I lived in Pennsylvania for 10 more years completing High School and apprenticing to become a professional chef with an emphasis on pastries. In 1992 I chose to move to Las Vegas NV to attend the University of Nevada Las Vegas and to broaden my opportunities. In 1994 I met my partner Tracy Shinsel in a local bar. I remained as a working chef until 1997 when my partner Tracy Shinsel and I opened our first business which was a catering company. Following the success of that company we decided to go into the bar business and opened a gay night club in Las Vegas called Cobalt. The club is how I originally became involved with the Imperial Royal Sovereign Court of The Desert Empire in 2000 when my partner, Tracy Shinsel, and I were approached to host a fundraising show in Cobalt, We researched the group and after acquiring more information we gladly hosted the event and from there on hosted many of the courts shows in the club, and donated many thousands of dollars to local charities through the court and were even named “Home Bar” several times until the club changed ownership in 2003. After taking some time off to work with the Court I went to work for a national Irish pub company, which is where I continue to work as a General Manager overseeing all staff and management

I was elected Emperor 8 by the communities of Clark, Lincoln and Nye in December of 2005 and successfully completed my reign in December of 2006 along with my Empress whom I am still close friends with and continue to raise money for the court.

Prior to becoming Emperor I held various positions within the Imperial Royal Sovereign Court of The Desert Empire such as Imperial Crown Prince, and was elected to board positions on two separate occasions before serving twice in the imperial position on the board. Through my involvement with the court I became interested in other local community organizations such as Street Teens and became actively involved in their grass roots efforts to bring a homeless teen drop in center to fruition.  During the periods I was not on the board of the I.R.S.C.D.E.I  I sat on the board of Street Teens helping to guide that organization. I served on Street Teens board as a director for a one year term and the following year I served in an officer’s position as Secretary of the board. The third year I served in an honorary position as an advisor to the board.

In addition to these two organizations I have assisted AFAN in their yearly fundraising AIDS walk and The Black and White Ball. Through my current work I have coordinated St Patrick’s Day fundraising efforts with our local chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association for the past 3 years.

I believe that in order to make our community what we desire that every member needs to put forth some involvement, thus far I have been fortunate enough to be very involved. In December 2007 my partner of 13 years Tracy Shinsel, Emperor 6, and I transferred to Austin Texas where I am looking forward to working with another court and becoming involved with the community in Austin. Although I will live in Austin and be very active my heart is still in Las Vegas and I will be returning often and staying very involved with the Las Vegas community which I feel that I have had some part in molding and guiding. I am honored and humbled that I have been chosen to be an Heir Apparent to Nicole the Great, I look forward to being part of the great new “Renaissance Era” of the Court system. I very much hope to help bridge the generation gap in our court system and bring in young, fresh new ideas from the younger members of our communities.
