Empress30, Dyna Myte, was first introduced to Calgary's community
and the ISCCA after moving to Calgary from Saskatoon in the spring
of 1995.
It was just after Coronation 28 that Dyna was approached by
the newly elected Empress - Erica St. Asia- Devine, asking her
to reign alongside her as Imperial Crown Princess 26. After
some soul searching, she gratefully accepted this honor. This
was a great stepping stone for Dyna, it allowed her to grow
as a person and as a performer. The tutoring and exposure received
that year was indispensable, for after a break and having been
given much encouragement, Dyna decided it was her time to run
for Empress.
Dyna was fortunate enough to have reigning beside her as Emperor,
her husband, Wolfgang and with the support of the community
and a phenomenal House they were able to donate over $42,000
to their charities. Dyna's reign was tempered by their desire
to see all of the community united as one voice in their fair
city. Her can-do attitude was infectious, never turning down
an event nor a venue. Soon the entire community knew who she
was and what she stood for. Respect, class and honesty.
As goodwill Ambassador, representing Calgary and the ISCCA,
Dyna traveled extensively both as Princess and as Empress. The
bonds and friendships she made will last a lifetime and she
is so thankful for having this incredible experience. While
reigning Dyna received The Order of Saskatchewan from the Imperial
Court of Regina, and this is one of her most touching highlights
It was at the beginning of her reign that Dyna became a business
partner in the bar at which she was working. With a number of
regulars, who were past and present Court members, the Lounge
quickly became the unofficial home bar for the Court.
As a bar owner, Dyna did her best to give back to the community
which had given so much love and support to her. Beswick House,
an AIDS hospice in Calgary, has long been one of their favorite
charity drives. They host regular events, both bar and Court
related,in order to enrich the lives of the guests at Beswick
House.
As a past Empress, she believes, it is her duty to spread the
philosophy of what the Court stands for. She encourages its
growth through mentoring new people and showing them the support
they need to spread their wings and soar to new heights.
Since her step down, she has remained busy with the Court.
She served on the Board of Directors during her anniversary
year and at present Dyna is Entertainer of the Year to the 32nd
Reign as well as Empress 33 1/2 to the ISCWR in Edmonton, Alberta.
