Fernando has been and active member of the ICSF for the past 11 years. In 2001 Emperor 28 AN John Carrillo gave him the title of Red Baron. 2001 was also the year of Fernando's most life-changing event… the death of his father. Through this he channeled his sadness and despair into something positive and ran for Mr. Gay San Francisco. Being Mr. Gay was the start of something wonderful and positive and with the help of the community,
Fernando worked hard and raised over $11,000 for charity.
In 2004 Fernando was elected Emperor of San Francisco. From the beginning of his reign, he and his Empress set out to include everyone. During his reign as Emperor Fernando actively promoted the 40th Anniversary of the Imperial Council of San Francisco. Also, during his reign he helped raise over $27,000 for charity and started many annual fundraising events that are still continued and promoted by Fernando to this date.
As he sets out on the new journey as an Heir to the Queen Mother of the Americas, he looks forward to working closely and raising money for the Trevor Project and hopefully making a difference for the ICC.
