Jeff
Kerzman became involved with the Court System in 1988,
upon attending his first Coronation in Denver, Colorado.
In 1989, Jeff moved to Houston, TX where he wasn’t
actively involved, but yet very curious about the
organization. He attended various functions observing
the art of impersonation in Texas and on his trips
back and forth to Denver. In late 1990, Jeff returned
to Denver and through a close personal friend, Marc
Garcia (aka Nicole Sommers and Empress 21 of Denver),
shared a dream of actually doing drag. Marc was in
the forefront of this master plan, but soon Jeff got
the urge and before long, both had joined the court
and Nicole was created and was appointed Princess
Royale 18 and Jeff was appointed to Marquis during
the 18th Reign. Due to Jeff’s business aptitude,
he was coaxed to run for a council seat and was elected
to the council at a young age of 26. Moving into the
19th Reign, and as Nicole Sommers had aspirations
to be a Denver empress, Sydney Andrews was born. Sydney
was on the 19th line of succession as Supreme Crown
Princess and the next year was Czarina 20. During
the 20th Reign, Sydney also ran for Miss Gay Pride
of All Colorado and took the title by storm. She remained
an active member of the court and also very busy with
a continued seat on the council. During the 21st reign,
Sydney was appointed Princess Royale to Empress 21
Nicole Sommers. Sydney went on to become Empress 23
and assisted with Denver’s first annual Pink
Ribbon Campaign. The reign raised countless funds
for charity and awarded over $10,000 in charity monies
at Coronation 24. During the 24th reign, Sydney became
a permanent member to the ICRME Board of Directors.
When the Board of Directors reorganized in 2001, and
became a 501c3, Sydney was leading the organization
in the capacity of President for a 2 and ½
year post. Due to personal family issues, Sydney resigned
from the Board of Directors in September of 2004,
but continued to support the court as much as possible.
In October of 2005, Sydney rejoined the Board of Directors
as her passion to see the organization thrive in a
challenging time became very obvious. In March of
2006, Sydney was awarded the Jose Honor’s award
at New York City’s Coronation. During the Apr
2006 – May 2007 court year, Sydney served as
the Corporate Development Director for the ICRME.
She was selected as one of Denver’s two Heir
Apparent’s with Nicole the Great in attendance
at Denver’s Coronation on April 21, 2007. Sydney
continues to assist with numerous benefits and also
partakes in numerous “Denver Diva” cabarets.
She also is an active member of the ICRME WhiteRose
Scholarship committee as well. Sydney Andrews, 42
years young, also just completed the celebration of
her 10 year anniversary as Empress (along with her
Emperor, Reggie Grove) at Coronation 34 in Denver.
