Society

Society of the Golden Hands

In Greek, there is a term that talks of “golden hands”, which refers to someone who is able to take the ordinary and turn it into the extraordinary. This society is incepted to recognize those in the Imperial Court System that have been known to be accepting, fostering good relations within their home court, having been a mentor to newer or junior courtiers, all to bring and keep the spirit of the extended family. As an adoptee in my life outside of the ICS, being amongst people who choose one to be family holds significant importance to me. So, to honor those people who quietly go about the business of keeping the spirit of togetherness and family, I created this society. Without these people of this caliber, we would not have the strong and wide network we have today.

Camp Society

The Order of Fine Flatware

Allright, many you know who this is all about. One day, the Wicked One needed help dispensing of some forks onto her unsuspecting sister. I volunteered, and before you knew it, I had added my own creative touch of wrapping a fork around the gas cap of that sister’s car. At the time, I thought, “this kind of wickedness was something I could get into”. Now, it’s become an all-out who-can-get-who-last fest of involuntarily-donated flatware. So, in order to commemorate and extend the glad tidings of the surprise gifts to many in the ICS, I introduce my Camp Title of Prince of Fine Flatware and Assorted Serving Pieces, and hereby induct the following into the Order of Fine Flatware:

“ By order of His Most Imperial and Sovereign Majesty, Peter George, Emperor IV of Massachusetts and Prince of Fine Flatware and Assorted Serving Pieces, I hereby invest Jazzmine Taylor, Grand Mistress of the Tine and Cassandra Fiore, Grand Mistress of the Ladle. Each of the Grand Mistresses has the power to recommend to the Prince other members of the Imperial Court System for investiture into the Society, and of course, the power to inflict the sudden appearance of involuntary flatware where least expected, their Mosts excluded. Extra points for creativity and wickedness.”
